1. Overview
This refund policy applies to Ace the Academia bootcamps and online programmes. We aim to be fair, clear and practical when circumstances change.
2. Cooling-Off Period
Where applicable under South African consumer law, participants may request cancellation within 5 business days of purchase, provided the programme has not yet started and no digital access has been used in a way that prevents cancellation.
3. Cancellation Before Programme Start
- More than 14 days before the start date: full refund less a 10% administration fee
- 7 to 14 days before the start date: 50% refund
- Less than 7 days before the start date: no cash refund, but registration may be transferred to the next available cohort where possible
4. Cancellation After Programme Start
- During Week 1: 25% refund may be considered
- After Week 1: no refund is available once substantial programme delivery has taken place
5. Programme Cancellation or Postponement
If Ace the Academia cancels a programme, registered participants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to a future cohort. If a programme is postponed, participants may transfer to the new date or request a refund.
6. Non-Attendance
No refund is issued for non-attendance where the programme proceeds as scheduled. Participants who miss live sessions may still access recordings and resources where those are included.
7. How to Request a Refund
Email 4148924@myuwc.ac.za or WhatsApp 073 929 8456 with your full name, registration details and reason for cancellation. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method where possible.
8. Exceptional Circumstances
Requests outside these terms may be considered in serious cases such as illness or bereavement, subject to supporting information and our discretion.
